Despite the incredible growth of the cannabis industry, the drug war is still claiming victims every day. There are patients all over the world that don’t have access to the medicine they need, and yet there are people in jail for trying to help provide that access. Advocacy groups save and improve lives while also pushing the industry forward. Consequently, support of these organizations is integral to the work both towards decriminalization and success in this space. We envision a future where no one is punished for their responsible use of the cannabis plant. The drug war is not over, and it is crucial that we continue to pursue its end.

Since its founding in 1995, the MPP has been leading the way in reforming U.S. marijuana laws by lobbying for legislation and sponsoring ballot initiatives to replace marijuana prohibition with a sensible system of regulation, garnering widespread media coverage of the need to change marijuana policies, and much more.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy is an international grassroots network of students who are concerned about the impact of drug abuse on our comm-unities, but who also know that the “War on Drugs” is failing our generation and our society.

The Drug Policy Alliance envisions a just society in which the use and regulation of drugs are grounded in science, compassion, health and human rights, in which people are no longer punished for what they put into their own bodies but only for crimes committed against others, and in which the fears, prejudices and punitive prohibitions of today are no more.
